The pouch takes cats and small dogs up to 15 lb. That covers most adult cats, every kitten, and small breeds like Chihuahuas, Yorkies, Pomeranians and Dachshunds.
Weight matters more than length here — a long, lean cat sits fine, a stocky 22 lb one won’t. If she’s close to the limit, weigh her before you order.
Her weight rests against your chest, not on her neck or legs, so nothing pulls on her while she’s in there.

Sherpa fleece, brushed on both faces — plush against your skin and against hers. The pouch is lined in the same fabric rather than a thin mesh, which is why it holds its shape when she’s in it.
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, then hang dry. Skip the dryer — heat flattens the pile and it doesn’t come back.
It doesn’t mat after a few washes and it doesn’t cling to pet hair the way cheap sherpa does.
